I have flown to geneva for a weekend away skiing and bargain hunting in France. It is so good this time of year as they have flea markets on all weekend and then it is still ok to ski before the season ends. On Saturday we went to some French flea markets where I picked up a celine bag for 3 euros and lots of lovely denim, on the Sunday we ventured to Switzerland to see what the flea markets were like there and as we are right by geneva they seemed to think it was ok to charge 20 euros for everything, Levi's were 1 euro in france whereas in Switzerland they were 50. You could definitly see the difference in price and even just the clothes in Switzerland were alot more designer, I saw some ungaro, Louis Vuitton and lots of French designer clothing. It was fun trying to find the bargains between the stupid rich people prices but it was a great flea market ( more a brocante....) as it was right on the waters edge and lovely weather. The photos say it all but think I will stick to France for flea markets when I come back.
