Even though the weather has been classic april showers for the past few days, today was brighter and put me in the mood for spring. It's not just that florals come in every s/s but summer is about all the flowers coming out and feeling the sun on your face so florals in your wardrobe just brighten up the day. I am going to France at the end of the month for another sourcing trip which will be lovely, the weather should be lovely as well (cross fingers...)

I think the best way to wear florals are to be girly and pretty or go pretty and grungy. These shorts are the perfect mix, as are the dr martens. All these can be done DIY at home, i keep fogetting to do it, but I am going to sew some floral patches onto the pockets of some jeans and you could even go as far as to hand paint some shoes. All in all, spring is the perfect time to experiment a bit with your clothing, layering and wearing items you might not have worn be it not sunny and warm outside. Yay summer!
